Emotional Swings or is it the increased in Hormones?

I am facing a new stage of life, everything is different and new to me, I experience my first pregnancy, my first morning sickness, first prenatal scan, first time seeing another living thing inside me, sudden change in my body shape.... forced to put on weight... first quickening felt, feeling lethargic, getting heavier by the days. Every thing comes at a go and it's not easy for a human being that has live her life so carefree for past 20 over years to suddenly encounter all these in such a short period of time.

It is really strenuous on a person emotionally as she has to accept those changes without any alternatives and the sudden surge in her hormone levels make matters seems worst. I must add, being apart from the society and being drifted with friends add on to the pressure. Felt being abandon by society and surrounding people makes current situation more tacky.

Fortunately I have the most wonderful husband on earth to give me tender loving care, showering me with all his attentions, loving me deeper as the days go by. He has been so understanding and patient to me, even though it's hard to handle an emotional time bomb, I must praise that he score A+ for that!

He is the one that pays attention to me,
he is the one that holds my hands tight at all times,
he is the one that hugs and kisses me while taking the escalator,
he is the one that pulls out the chair for me,
he is the one that leaves all good food for me,
he is the one that walks under the rain but making sure that I am sheltered under an umbrella,
he is the one that uses his own body to shear off any people that might knocked onto me,
he is the one that brings me a glass of milk and fill up my water flask every night,
he is the one that tugs me to bed every night,
he is the one that makes me laugh when I am upset,
he is the one that will spent 90% of his income on me and only live on 10%,
he is the one that covers me with blanket in the middle of the night,
he is the one that will ask me How are you today, everyday,
he is the one that carries all my shopping bags,
he is the one that gives in to all my request, be it reasonable or unreasonable ones,
he is the one that praises me on the most minor things I have done,
he is the one that drives me out for lunch everyday without fail,

I can carry on and on and on.... I don't have a blog about him therefore even if I have to bore you with the above, I will still do so. We are together for about 8 years already, and I am proud to say that our love bonded stronger than before. I am very blessed to have him in my life, must have done good deed in the past life to deserve a man like him!

I am so looking forward to our baby!
I LOVE YOU!

Cord blood

I am comparing between 2 different private cord blood banks in Singapore, Cordlife and Stemcord. I am fully aware of the benefits cord blood can bring as currently it is said to be able to treat 72 diseases and as technology advances further the figures will surely increase. Keeping my baby's cord blood has always been a form of consideration for me and the charges are relatively affordable. I knew someone working for Stemcord and he has also promised to give me some promotions if I intend to keep my baby's cord blood with them.

There is a free of charge way to keep your baby's cord blood and that is through public cord blood bank, but then you will have no ownership of your baby's cord blood and it will be treated as samples for lab testings. Therefore I feel that I should keep my baby's precious cord blood in a private blood bank.

Now I have only 2 choice to make... Cordlife or Stemcord? Has anyone kept your baby's cord blood with any of the above banks? I would like to seek opinions from you.

My Weekend

I was chatting with a blog reader turned friend just now and found out that we had a number of things in common. She is a young mother of a 19 month beautiful girl and she is going to have another baby due next month. Things we have in common is that both of us are not working, she is a stay at home mother and I, a stay at home mother to be... hahaha I am glad that I could still get to know a new friend even though my social life is fast diminishing at an alarming rate, thanks to internet and MSN. Glad to know you Esther! Wish you have a smooth delivery!

Getting in love with the restaurants at Central, went there again last Saturday and this time we tasted Japanese Curry Udon, yeah Japanese curry with Udon. It was the first time for Jeff and I eating this and luckily the food did not disappoint us. Take a look at the photos of the food, we called it Japanese Laksa!Doesn't it look tasty? It does! The whole restaurant sells mainly Curry Udon with a few side dishes, that's what I call specialise.

A very kind hearted reader left a comment in my blog saying that I look prettier now, thank you. You are someone that makes my day, but then I find that you are very generous to say that, coz I really don't think so... My face is rounder, my arms are thicker, I am overall bigger... and I will carry on getting bigger by the day. Unless I look pretty being fat.... if not I wish to obtain back my figure in the fastest time once I deliver.

Jalan jalan at Clarke Quay but hurried back to the car because it was about to pour!
What should one do when the sky is pouring with rain? Head home and hide in our comfy cozy bed? Well that sounds like a good choice but it will be boring as well, therefore we went ahead to Cathay to see if we could get anymore tickets for a good movie. Wanted to watch Disney's latest production Ratatouille and lucky it was already showing at Cathay.

While waiting for the movie to start, we walked over to Plaza Singapura for some snacks at Toast Box, our choice of snacks, peanut butter toast and otah toast.

It is a fantastic movie and definitely suitable for all ages. Highly recommended if you are a great fan of colorful animation! I love the story line too, but there was a part that grossed me out and I almost puked. It was when countless of rats took over the kitchen and started messing with the food and cooking for the restaurant.... yuks! Luckily it was only fictional, I certainly don't want a bunch of rats cooking for me even if it's going to be palatable!

Oh by the way, Ratatouille is actually a vegetable stew of Provence (a region in SE France), typically consisting of eggplant, zucchini, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, and garlic, served hot or cold. Why the moive is called Ratatouille, you have to watch it find out!

What your style says about you?

Your style says you're Flirty and Feminine

Hey, sweet thing. Just because you're a girly girl doesn't mean your closet is full of frills and lace. You just love accentuating your feminine side, and you know that sweet shirts, cute skirts, and pretty accessories are the way to do it.

After all, you're not afraid of things like heels and makeup just because they require a little more skill and effort. You love turning heads and showing off your flirty style, so go for it! Embracing your girlyness is what makes you so much fun. Stay sweet.

In life you can make your own decisions or let other people make those decisions for you. Being Above The Influence is about staying true to yourself, and not letting people pressure you into being less than you. So be yourself. Or be something less. It's your call.

Your five-minute beauty fix is A Confident Attitude

Hello, hot stuff! Not only are you fabulous, but it's clear you know it. Confident and assertive, your five-minute beauty fix comes from standing tall and remembering that you always shine. And maybe it sounds clichéd, but it's true: A woman's confidence is her most attractive quality. Nothing says "hot" quite like knowing you own the show.

After all, a girl like you knows it's not about what you're wearing, but about how you wear it. And it's that attitude that really captures the spotlight. Way to work it!

Socialising

I haven't been socialising much recently, the only people I see everyday is my dear husband, my father, mother, in-laws, my brother, sister in law and little Reese. Not that I am complaining and I won't get bored seeing them as they are the ones that will be with me forever. I am getting quite lazy to get out on my own, have been chauffeured around and didn't get behind the wheels myself. I guess my car will not recognise me soon.... Luckily some skills that one acquire will stay with them forever like driving and swimming.

Finally get to go out and do some socialising when the organiser Miss Miko has arranged a gathering with other ladies and invited me along. We arranged to meet at The Central at Eu Tong Seng Road. Wah luckily I still know my directions to the Mall, if not Miko will say I always bring her to 'sight seeing' hahaha.

Mag made a reservation at Waraku Japanese restaurant located at 3rd floor of Central. Although I have been there with Jeff a couple of times, I still got a bit lost when I was there. Brought the girls round n round.... hahahaha but finally we got to Waraku on time. It was a cozy restaurant, so cozy to the extend that it becomes really noisy when it's full house! We were raising our voice talking to each other so as to be heard. If you want to go there, need to go early, as the Q starts to form after 7pm (applies to every restaurants there).

The food I ordered. It's cool, there was big piece of Katsu cutlet, potato salad, noodle n rice.... Yeah too much carbo, I didn't finish it but it's a bad habit of mine to see variety on my serving plate.

Miko and her Katsu curry don. It must be good as later she brought another set back for her prince.

Lyana busy taking photo of her soba, and she didn't realise I took this photo of her....

This little girl Jac, many facial expression.

On the right, appearing for the first time in my blog is Mag and on the left is Karen. They ordered Shabu shabu (did I get the spelling right?)

Photos of the food on our table-

There were plenty of choices on the menu, took us about 10 minutes to decide what to eat. After completing our meals, we were kinda being chased away by the staff, they kept dropping hints asking if we wanted to order deserts... 3 times within 15 minutes.

Karen, Miko and Mama to be Me. Miko now addresses me as Mama every time she sms me, hahaha then I will call her godma as she says she wants to be my baby's godma. Wei, godma's responsibility also quite big one hor, hahahaha! Anyone else want to be my baby's godmother?

Lyana and Jac.

After dinner we walked over to Clarke Quay for some light beverages at TCC, usually we should have alcohol.... but nowadays I am forbidden to all types of vice therefore can only go for healthier choice. Mag, Lyana and Karen.

Mama to be, Jac and godma to be.

One last group photo before the gathering adjourned. Although it was the 1st time meeting some of them, we clicked really fast and the topics we talked about was hilarious at some point of time. I shared my pregnancy experiences and pass them some knowledge so that they can get prepared themselves when the right time comes. Hope to see you girls soon, before my tummy gets really in the way.... ;)

Baby fair

We went shopping on Sunday, for our unborn baby girl. Her daddy wants to get her all the necessary items that she needs before she is delivered. Therefore he brought me to the Takashimaya Baby fair, believe it or not he was the one that knew about the fair and not me.

Jeff wanted to make sure that the baby cot is a stable one, can you see that he was smiling? He was really into serious shopping that day, I can tell he is going to be a very good father.

We got a good deal, our princess not only got a beautiful baby cot, it also comes with lots of gifts.
Too bad I cannot get the cot fix yet, it was out of stock and Jeff only want it to be delivered nearer to my EDD.

Among the items we bought, we also purchased the above complete with baby feeding set, steamer and a food warmer from Pigeon. The fair was so overwhelming that many items we purchased had already gone out of stock and therefore have to wait for their delivery. I was entitled for 4 lucky draws and the prices was quite attractive... 4 chances, and yet I was so "Lucky", all my 4 draws I got was Pigeon saying Thank you to me....

Well for consolation, we were able to redeem gifts from Baby fair, just purchase $200 and above you get a free Disney fleece blanket, and for $350 above you get a free Winnie the Pooh infant toy. I got both!

Glad we came to this fair, Jeff wanted to go again this week as there might be more sale items we could grab before the fair ends.

Shopping will be incomplete without a great dinning time. Our choice for the night, Korean cuisine at Crystal Jade Korean restaurant.

Look at his face, so satisfied and happy.

Set dinner consist of cold dishes, 2 different meat for BBQ, Korean seafood soup, and fruits.

See, this is going to be my baby's toy.

My baby's fleece blanket, it's Disney's Princesses!

This is a manual breast pump, yes my intention is to breast feed my baby for at least 6 months.

I bought 2 new tube dresses from Wistma Isetan, they were selected by Jeff, good choice. I love them! I think I will start scouting for more long dresses, I looked more proportion in long dresses now.

Little Reese 1st birthday

My 1st niece Reese is going to turn 1 year old this coming 24th August, and we had a pre birthday celebration yesterday at Crystal Jade Restaurant. Little Reese seem to know that she was the icon that day and hosted the lunch birthday session quite well. Take a look at the memoriable moments of a one year old baby captured by photos below.

Hi there, my name is Reese Ng and I am about to turn 1 year very old soon. My family arranged a pre birthday celebration for me on Sunday. Many of my relatives were there to this joyous occasion and that puts on a big smile on my face!

This was my birthday cake, thanks to uncle Jeffrey and aunt Noelle. I love Winnie the Pooh! The cake was really huge, it weight 3 kg! Oh did you see my dress? It had a Winnie the Pooh head, really went well with my birthday cake right?

One candle was enough this time, everyone was singing birthday song for me. But I had my eyes on the cake only.

Yippeee, cake cutting time, this time mummy helped me, soon I will be able to cut my own birthday cake.

The 4 beauties of my family, my grandma, my aunt, me and my dearest mummy.

Can you tell how happy I was? I am a photogenic and cute baby!

Not only I love taking photos, I am also generous to give kisses to my family. Thank you for celebrating my birthday with me. Smooch!

I love my family, my grandma, grandpa, daddy, mummy, uncle and aunt, and my Great grandmother. She is really proud of me!

I love my mummy most!

My 2 aunts, Noelle and Nicole.

These were my guests, hope they enjoyed themselves!
