당신을 감사하십시오

Time really flies, its Friday again and I haven't even blog about last weekend. I got quite a number of response from the previous post giving me comments on how they felt after seeing the video. Thank you for all your concern, hope that the video serves not only some entertaining value, it should also help women understand better about pregnancy and baby kicks!

Very soon I will have to go for my routine check this coming Monday, the frequency of the gynae visits are getting closer. I just went through my bag to see if I have every thing prepared to bring to the delivery suite. Hopefully I don't miss out anything important. I also did a checklist on the items that baby needs when she arrives, clothes, towels, hankies, bath unit, bed, travel, food, sterilizers so on and so far.

Actually preparing for a new born is more expensive than getting married, you won't believe the amount of things one additional member needs and the number of up front cash you need to pay. I have engaged a confinement lady for a month to stay with us after my little girl is out. I really don't dare to calculate how much we had spent so far... It is worst when moving house and delivery comes clashing together all happening in December. Not only we have to buy stuff for baby, we also spent quite a fortune on new furnishing. Can't believe that the house can be ready and I am able to do my confinement there.

Jeff took me to John Little Mega Sale at Expo this afternoon to get bedlinen set for our new mattress which will be delivered in Mid December. I am quite particular about the number of threat count on the bedlinen and the higher it is, the more expensive it gets, of course the comfort level is higher too. Luckily it is really worth while to purchase such items during sale period as we saved a lot on the discount. Our only problem is that majority of the king size fitted sheet are too small for my king size mattress as mine measure about 182cm x 190cm with a height of 15 inches. Therefore our choice for the bedlinen shrank but we still managed to get the design close to my requirement, lucky. John Little Mega Sale is at Singapore Expo Hall 4 and 5 and it will end at 9 December, therefore hurry down and grab what you want before it vanishes!

Ok time for some eye feast, hunger for some Korean food? Jeff and I are regulars at the Korean restaurant located at Far East Plaza. It serves authentic Korean dishes at quite a reasonable price.

8 variety of seasoned cold dishes, so appetizing! I can just have this with a bowl of fragrant pearl rice.

BBQ the raw beef and wrapped them in fresh lettuce with their chilly bean paste, garlic and kimchi. Yummy!

Had this sea weed soup for the first time, they use beef stork for the soup base, taste really delicious!

Korean style fried vermicelli, I am sure the vermicelli was marinated before frying, love it.

Seafood pancake, another dish not to be miss when you visit a Korean restaurant, its so crispy!

My hubby and his nice smile!

Fat, greedy me at week 36 of my pregnancy. Enjoying all the nice gourmet I can without feeling sinful. After that I will have to work super duper hard to shake off my pregnancy fat! Can you imagine I weigh heavier than my hubby now!!

Caught on Video!

I finally caught her on video! Now I got evidence of how she kicked me when she was in my tummy and I am going to play it for her to see when she grows up. Ladies, especially those that are still single and seeing this for the 1st time, you will be shocked to see this. By the way, this is considered MILD already, she is worst at night. Super Active Baby and definitely a night owl as she doesn't sleep at night.

Royal Rumble baby... at week 36

Me not going to be responsible if anyone decided not to get pregnant after watching this video clip hor.

Vietnamese food

Went Millennium walk for lunch yesterday and we tried something new, it's Vietnam food at PHO24.

Ordered their set lunch, all those for only $11.80.

Vietnam coffee served in this aluminum coffee filter.

Coffee too strong for me... Jeff liked it.

Thought they serve me rabbit food... these were add ons for the noodles.

Vietnam style spring roll... lots of raw veg inside... I don't really enjoy it, again felt like rabbit food. It has raw beans sprout in the spring roll, don't enjoy the taste of it...

Pho Chin, Beef koay teow soup, I do enjoy this soupy bowl noodles. Love the clear soup base with tasty beef essences and thin slices of beef . I will go back for it's beef koay teow soup but not the rest.

Their Vietnam desert, it is actually similar to Teochew style Orh Ni, (yam paste). Not bad.

The above images were taken using a camera phone, sorry for its poor clarity.

Personalise it!

Went Arab street and got lots of crystals to do some art work for lots of things I got in mind. This is one of them.Bought this handphone pouch for $5.90 at Bugis Junction.

Now after some Swaraoski crystals added on to, it looks more expensive now.

I have a major art project in mind.... wonder if it will happen before my little girl comes out... time is running short!~

Baby fat

Just got back from the hospital for my routine check up. Baby weighs about 2.7kg now, think it is the average size, not too big and not too small. It's the 36th week already, time flies! Many of my friends asked if I am nervous or have I started counting down to my delivery date. Of course I am nervous, I wish time fly faster so I can see my baby and also a big relieve for my body! I am so over stretched now, it hurts. Sometimes I wish she won't drag till the 21st December as I want an earlier relieve. I told Jeff it will be his responsibility to carry her around when she is out as I have been carrying her inside my body for 10 full months.

After delivery I am being promise lots of pampering, like going to facials, spas and hair salon. Therefore I can't wait for that to happen too! My major concern, unable to get rid of my pregnancy fats!

Jeff saw how baby kicks me and was shocked at the tremendous vibration on my tummy. He kept asking baby to be gentle and not to hurt me and obviously it doesn't work. I told him I will beat her backside when she is out. Imagine waking up every 2 to 3 hours to clear your bladder in the middle of the night followed by pacifying baby to sleep. Luckily I have the luxury to stay at home, if not I might go mad.

Went to Changi airport Terminal 3 open house on Sunday, it was really huge... will upload the photos tomorrow.

My New Samsung Ultra Edition 12.1 (U700)

Got this beauty today, re-contracted my mobile contract with Starhub at Plaza Singapura. Was given a $100 mobile phone voucher from Starhub and Jeff paid for the balance. Its so slim and classy, with 3.2 mega pixel camera. I am going to get a nice casing for it as it has very low tolerance to finger print marks. Yet to try out it's functions as it is charging up.

Nice afternoon tea

I just finished watching season 1 of HEROES last night, amazingly interesting fast action drama series. I absolutely love it to the max and I totally adore the script writer for coming out with such an idealistic drama yet seemly possible to happen. Sometimes I wonder if I have any natural ability to do something extraordinary to the world. Till now I am just ordinary. Haha, not that I care to be different or detest the fact that I am just a remotely ordinary pregnant woman counting down to the delivery of my baby.

This remotely ordinary woman enjoyed a nice afternoon tea with her hubby. Went Royal Copenhagen cafe at Takashimaya for some quality T&T (tea & Time). Love the atmosphere and their tea presentation on beautiful China.

Lovely delicious Prune Almond Cake.

Love the presentation on the table, beautiful China makes the mood beautiful too.

Lovely afternoon can never go without my dearest most lovable hubby! You complete my life! With you in my life, I don't mind to be just remotely ordinary.

Can't wait for season 2 of HEROES to be out in DVD!

My Weekend

I had a terrible night yesterday, didn't get to sleep as my little bb girl decided to play during the wee hours of the night. She kicked and rolled non stop and boxed me like the second hand of a clock. Also by getting out of bed to the toilet didn't help in my sleep and my dumb white ass dog kept barking at the gate!

Mummy is away to 广州 this morning on a mission to help her friend's son 提亲。This is the first time she travels alone without her family members by her side. Hope she enjoys her trip and by the time she gets back she is more street smart by the double.

Took mummy out on Saturday, a day of shopping and eating. We went mall hopped that day, from Parkway Parade to Paragon to Takashimaya to Central to Riverside and stopped last at Bedok 85 market for supper. That's the convenience of being in Singapore, it's small and very accessible.

We ate at Chen Fu Ji Chinese Restaurant located at Riverside Quay. Wanted to try their very famous Golden Imperial Fried Rice and see how good it really is.

Coincidentally 3 of us wore black that day.

八宝茶。It's nice and cooling, but I only found 5 items inside it, carrots, corn, sugar cane, water chestnut and asparagus. Where are the other 3 ingredients?

金碧辉煌炒饭。 Comes in 3 sizes, small $18, medium $25 and large $36. We ordered the medium one and it is exactly 3 small servings...

This bowl cost $8++ after dividing into 3. The taste, well it is good but not fantastic if you get what I mean. Food that is good will leave a strong craving for people to go back for the 2nd time but this one... not at all. Tried once and it is enough. According to TV recommendation, they claimed that a bowl of fried rice has exactly one full size crab meat. I seriously doubt it.

麻婆豆腐。
咖啡排骨王。Jeff was extremely disappointed with this dish as there was no real coffee taste at all. It was sweet!
宫保鸡丁。Very oily, not nice....
No wonder restaurant so quiet on a Saturday night. That night, the meal cost us $120++... just for those simple dishes. Do you think it is worth visiting the 2nd time? In the end we still have to go for supper as it didn't fill our stomach at all. We ended up eating hawker food at Bedok North.

Bought a new Coach bag for weekend use. Its the BLEECKER FLAP series.

Free gift from Coach. Nice packaging, thought what it was...

Just a key chain.

Sunday went to a friend's house warming function and proceed to more shopping at AMK Hub. Caught a movie there, STARDUST. I love the movie, it was very enchanting as it has witch crafts and magics. In this 2 hours movie you get romance, action, adventure, comedy, fantasy all in this movie.
Had our dinner at Soup Restaurant, we were the last customers that night, so paisey...

We ordered 2 person set dinner, cost $48+++ Menu includes:

Olive rice. I love it! The servings was big enough to fill up 6 bowls, and the texture of the rice is soft and spongy, leaves a nice fragrance in your mouth. Very unique!

Ginseng Chicken soup. Yummy, 够味,滋补养彦。

Their signature dish, Samsui Chicken. The ginger paste taste really good, not spicy at all. Chicken meat is tender and fresh, portion is big for 2, very filling!

Fried sambal kangkong.

姜丝炒鹿肉。
Fresh cabbage to wrap the samsui chicken, another method of eating. Very crunchy!

After service charge and GST the bill comes up to about close to $70. It is more worth it then Chen Fu Ji restaurant.
