A Day at Jurong Bird Park

One of the things I enjoy doing with Natalie is everyday after work I will take Natalie out to look at the birds flying from trees to trees, roof to roof. She gets very happy whenever we spot birds flying over our heads. So I thought maybe she likes birds and suggested to Jeff that we should bring Natalie to the bird park. The last time I was there was a few years ago with Apple and her guy friend. We were there before their renovation, so this time we took Natalie there hoping to see some new changes and to fascinate my little young girl's mind.

We picked a normal Sunday, assuming that it will not be very crowded as bird park is not as popular as the zoo or underwater world. Either I was wrong or I was unlucky, that particular Sunday bird park organized VASANTHAM FAMILY DAY CARNIVAL@ The Bird Park.... -__-'''
I thought I was in India and not bird park.... It was extremely crowded, too much for me to handle, I see human more than birds. I guess Natalie must have felt the same way too, she was looking on the ground more often than birds glaze... sigh

Natalie looking at the ground, she liked stepping on the dried leaves. She was not very happy with birds that can't fly... You know what I mean right!

My pretty little girl and me!

I like this photo. D&D = Daddy & Daughter.

We spent about 2 hours in the park and suddenly it started to pour, Natalie laughed at the pouring rain. I guess I was more fascinated by her than anything else.

I am a Shopaholic

After self diagnose, I am quite confirm that I am a shopaholic. Just this year I bought 8 bags, thanks to my friend (Tina) that reminded me about it. She said that I could have bought a Birkin with the amount of money spent on all the bags I have. I overlooked the fact that I had purchase the later and got another one recently. But I have been eying on this particular one for months and after some disappointment in Paris, I found it at the Chanel boutique in Singapore. So this is the one, a red classic flap!
This was my first red bag, I bought it at Milan, the first Prada boutique with a history of more than 50 years. My love for red bags is going to cost me a lot.

These are my other pride and joy.

The strongest survive?

Recently, I watched the movie 2012 with Jeffrey over the weekend. If the movie was true I reckon I will be killed just like the vast majority in the movie. I do not have 1 billion euros to get a ticket to the 'space ship'.... It was depressing after watching the movie, to get slap right there and then that I am just one of the 'masses' that the rich and famous people or politicians categorise us. How sad but true...

So I begin to wonder, if it's the strongest or the riches that will survive when it comes to disaster? Anyway I really hope that whatever was shown in the movie will not happen, I still want to live to see my baby girl grow up, graduate, get married and have children. A simple wish that seem vulnerable...

Year end post for 2009

I guess by now no one ever comes in here to check for updates. Actually I wanted to close down my blog as I cannot squeeze out any time to blog. Seriously I don't even find it tempting to turn on the internet as the bed and tv is more appealing to me now. Today is an exception, I am home now as Natalie is down with fever. Natalie was sick since Sunday, today is the 4th day and hopefully the fever will be completely down by today. She has been a very strong girl, I should take credit for it as I have been taking very good care of her since she was a baby. This is the first time she actually fell ill for pass 23 months. As a mother now, it's hard to see Natalie fell ill, it's even more painful to see her cry when I had to force the medication down her throat... I had to remind myself that I am doing the correct thing, it's for the better so that she can recover as soon as possible. My friends and colleagues has been very supportive too, they will drop me sms and fb messages to give me moral support. Seeing kind words from them also gave me strength and confident.

I went Europe in October with my husband, it was our first Europe trip together. We traveled to Italy, Switzerland and France. We signed a package with SA tour and was there for 12 days. Actually we were in Italy for 4 days, Switzerland for 3 days and Paris for 2 days. It was not enough, I was just beginning to enjoy myself and then the tour ended. I can't leave Natalie back home alone with my maid and parents for too long, they were kind enough to help me take care of her while we were away. Hopefully when she grows older we can travel together as a family.
