Criteria for employment of a Foreign Domestic Worker

Since I will be moving over to a new and bigger house by end of this year or beginning of next year, my family wants me to employ a maid under my name. Sigh... actually to me it is really not necessary, we already have a maid and it's really a waste of money to engage another domestic worker just because the house is going to be bigger?

Lame... I also do not intend to let the maid look after my baby, it is best to take care of my baby myself and enjoy their growing up process. How will it feels like if you realised one day that your child prefers to stick with the maid than mummy? I won't allow this to happen, therefore I really don't feel that it is mandatory to have 2 maids in one household.

But normally my point of view is often being overlooked when the majority has more say. Everyone prefers to have a 2nd maid to help out with the household chores and even my current maid complaints that the house will be too big for her to handle alone.... -__-''' And she raised both hands (maybe even feet) to agree on engaging another maid, so that her work load will be lighten. My goodness!

Since then my family members have been bugging me to take up an e-learning course on Foreign Domestic Worker Employer's Orientation Program. This e-learning course is mandatory if anyone wishes to apply work permit of your foreign domestic worker. I was given this duty as I am the most idyllic person in the family and that I am eligible for subsidy.

Finally completed the e-learning course and got this certificate:
