Flu and colds during pregnancy

I am getting a full blown flu virus, didn't go out today because my whole body aches terribly! I am extremely tired, groggy head, spinning, can't even balance my steps properly. I cough out greenish sputum, coughing very hard, throat is still sore, and nasal stuffiness.

I know my body very well, every time when I felt discomfort in my throat, I know I am going to catch a flu or already caught one. My flu symptoms always starts with a sore throat, followed by coughing and then complete with the rest of the other flu symptoms.

Luckily I have checked that catching a cold or the flu during pregnancy rarely causes birth defects. But pregnancy can increase your risk for complications from the flu, such as pneumonia. Pregnancy can change a pregnant women’s immune system and affect her heart and lungs. These changes can increase the risk for complications from the flu.

I just finished my porridge, my ribcage hurts like hell.... will blog more if I get back my usual energy level.
