Lazy to blog

It's been awhile since my last entry, blame it on the weather, it's so unpredictable. This is bullshit, it's plain laziness. I have so much to blog about, so many photos to show, but too little time to blog. Nowadays my only blogging time is during the night, when Natalie is already asleep. I have certain fear of turning on the internet, I fear I will prolong my time online and delay my sleep. Therefore when rationale too over me I choose sleeping over blogging.

It's been awhile since I last went out on a girls night with my friends, received a call from Vivienne and she had arranged a gathering at Ice Cold Beer, Emerald Hill for a quick drink. I am so glad that I have an understanding husband and a great helper at home.

A short meet up and drinking session with my lady friends. Conincidentally there was a color code that night, 2 blacks and 2 blues...

Vivienne and I.

In case you miss Natalie more, I uploaded a picture taken with her last week. She is getting very active, takes more than 10 minutes to change her diaper, towel dry, change. I wonder if anyone of us is able to handle her when she starts to crawl... love her to the max!

Good life

Many of you must be wondering how come I didn't come online for weeks? You must be thinking that I should be very busy taking care of Natalie and therefore no time for blogging and chat in the forum. In actual fact I am not busy at all, I was only busy trying to finish the DVDs I rented from a nearby video store and that was my itinerary for the past few afternoons. Besides doing DVDs marathon, I have been out in the afternoons and weekends too, like lunch threats, manicure and pedicure session, movies so on.

Life's been good, no, in fact it's great! I have engaged a domestic helper from the Philippines to assist me in taking care of Natalie. (If not for her help, I won't be able to do the above) Took the advise from many friends telling me that since I can afford it, why not let the maid take care of Natalie? I am now in charge of playing with Natalie only. Hahaha!

I am very fortunate and I thank god for blessing me with a good life. I do not need to do household chores nor cook as they are taken care of by my Indonesian maid. Yes, now I have 2 maids at home. I have an additional maid from the Philippines, I finally able to enjoy my life just like my pre-pregnancy days. She is a mother of 4 herself and the youngest child is already 8 years old.

A surprise visit from these 2 lovely sisters, Miko and Jace on a weekday afternoon surely brings out a joyful spirit in one person. They were so happy when they saw Natalie and kept singing praises of how adorable and cute she is. At first Natalie just stared at them blankly but she seemed to be able to recognised Miko as she greeted her with a big wide smile. Too bad for Jace, as it was Natalie's first time meeting her, she seemed to be afraid of her. Babies are afraid of strangers, or new faces, so Jace by the time Natalie sees you again she will also be smiling.

Looking forward to more gatherings with you ladies soon.

My 1st present for my birthday

Isn't it sweet when someone else other than your family and hubby remembers your birthday even though she is really busy.

Isn't it touching when she cancels her other appointment so that she can compromise with my timing just to buy me dinner.

Isn't it wonderful when she even brings out an expensive gift for my birthday, which is still another 3 more days to go.

That sweet wonderful friend of mine, Miko aka Geraldine, knows that my nanny is going away and soon will have lesser time to see me quickly arranged to meet me before my nanny leaves. I am glad that we met up for dinner last night. Was so afraid that my single friends will abandon me as my conversation inevitably will revolves around baby. Actually I was out last Friday with my ex colleague drinking 2 bottles of beer at Acid Bar, hahahh. But nothing beats meeting up with real close friends for a chatty good time.

My sweet and caring friend Miko.

How's my hairstyle? Nice? I am beginning to see some weight lost already. Please a few more dress sizes down, working real hard to achieve it.

Miko and Me, our usual pose for photos, smile!

My catch for dinner, Bake Dory Fish with garlic rice. Yummy

Miko had Grilled Salmon fish with chips.

Miko surprises me with a present from LONGCHAMP.

My 1first LongChamp bag, it's going to be very useful for me!

Thank you, you always remember my birthday, and I will remember yours too. Exactly 2 months after mine! hehehe

Miko got the exact same one for herself too! Hey, it's NOT buy one get one hor! We promise to carry the same bag for our next meeting.

A big kiss for my dear friend!

Guess I still have to wait

I am still here, baby don't seem to give me any symptoms or any signs of popping. It is already the 19th today, went to visit the Gynae on Monday and now she weighs a huffy of 3.4kg. My gynae has suggested me if I want to have baby induce. But I prefer her to come out spontaneously therefore I told Doctor I will adopt the WAIT & SEE approach.

If she doesn't come out on the estimated delivery date, what should I do? My next appointment is on the 22nd, which is one day after the EDD. Should I induce my baby by then??

My friends came over to visit me at my place yesterday, though it was just a casual gathering with the absence of music, fine dinning and wine, I really enjoyed spending time with them. Totally touched by their gesture, thanks a lot! Love the tasty donuts you bought for me!

Oh Alice, I got the pressies yesterday too! It's really kind of you to deliver them to my place and I really like them a lot! Especially the kawaii Hello Kitty pacifier and booties. I am certain it will fit well on my baby!

Thanks to Joseph and Paul for the gifts! Even though both of you have moved to Japan, you still bothered to send gifts over and share the joy of my pregnancy. Thank you!

And all the generous kind souls that has been giving me encouragements and well wishes, even though we never met, thank you!
For now, I will carry on waiting.... Hope to blog about my delivery on my post.

Fare well, Elizabeth!

Our KTV session ended with a little bit of sadness surrounding us that night, to part with someone you know is hard. Moreover knowing that chances of meeting up with the person will not be as easy as before.

Elizabeth is back in Ipoh now, should be busy preparing her wedding which will be held on the 11th November 2007. I am utterly disappointed that I couldn't make it to her wedding, sigh... no choice since now my important mission to keep myself safe and healthy and await for my baby's delivery.

Here I wish Elizabeth all the best and congratulations on her wedding. I am sure she is going to be the prettiest bride on the night of her wedding!

A group of beautiful and wonderful people. Hope you ladies enjoyed yourself that night!

The only torn among the flowers that night, Mr Paul Lim.

Since it's Elizabeth's fare well, we cannot miss the chance of taking photos with her.

Look at her, so radiant in every photos!

Kisses, must remember our kissses ok!

They are so amazed at my big tummy that they cannot keep their hands of it! hahaha.

Julia, Paul, Shelly and me shared money to get Elizabeth a pendant necklace, I was the one given the honorable duty to select the gift, therefore I chose this diamond cross pendant for our dear Elizabeth. Being a Catholic, Elizabeth will sure like it.
Julia said we should put on the necklace for her, so that she will remember us and also symbolise that she is being tight down by us! hahaha. That was a very touching moment, Elizabeth was trying very hard to hold back her tears, on the other end of the room, Julia was silently weeping... sob sob.

Let's see our beautiful bride to be photos!

Steamboat at Carin's Place

I was invited by my ex-colleagues for a gathering at one of their house warming on Friday night. It was a steamboat dinner all prepared by the lady owner Ms Carin and the dinner was especially arranged for us only, how thoughtful she was! I told Elizabeth that I didn't feel like driving from east to west and so she said she will arrange transportation for me. Immediately 3 person offered to chauffeur me thru and fro, I was so delighted!

Me in Glenn Wee's car, self shot photo.

Glenn and I, he was one of the 3 that initiated to pick me up from home, mind you he stays in Woodlands and drove all the way to the east to fetch me. Thank you very much, I really appreciate your effort!

Gosh I really missed you ladies a lot! Our meeting point at IMM, one by one they came. Elizabeth, Julia, Shelly and Stephanie.

Looking at the map for orientation to Carin's condominium.

This is Carin and her 1 year old daughter, she is also a very young mother and she already has 2 lovely daughters! Can't tell that she is married and given birth twice right? Her daughter has very lovely big round eyes, all the aunties can't help but crowd around her! ahahaha, they will kill me for calling them aunties...

They said with me around, there will be constant photo taking sessions!

The steamboat spread, all prepared by Carin and her mother, there were flower crabs, crayfishes, prawns, beef slices, pork slices, mutton slices, pork livers, fishballs, crab sticks, quill eggs, golden mushrooms, fish slices, vegetables, wanton, meat balls.... so many it can feed at least 30 person!

We sat there for hours, chatting and eating away.

Although the food was enough for 30, this was the amount of people present... from the left, Glenn, Elizabeth, Julia, Shelly, Me, Carin, Stephanie, Nicole (Paul's gf) and Paul.

After dinner, we carried on our conversation further in Carin's nice cosy computor room. We chatted for hours as if there was no tomorrow! When we looked at the clock it was already 1am, what did they say about a bunch of women hanging out together? hahahha!

Elizabeth and her peace sign. Gonna miss you when you are not around!

My kind hearted Julia Tan, despite being really tired, she still offered to drive me home. That's the privilege my ex colleagues showered me with for being pregnant. hehehe, lucky me.

I had a very enjoyable evening, great company, good food, nice environment! Thank you people!

Socialising

I haven't been socialising much recently, the only people I see everyday is my dear husband, my father, mother, in-laws, my brother, sister in law and little Reese. Not that I am complaining and I won't get bored seeing them as they are the ones that will be with me forever. I am getting quite lazy to get out on my own, have been chauffeured around and didn't get behind the wheels myself. I guess my car will not recognise me soon.... Luckily some skills that one acquire will stay with them forever like driving and swimming.

Finally get to go out and do some socialising when the organiser Miss Miko has arranged a gathering with other ladies and invited me along. We arranged to meet at The Central at Eu Tong Seng Road. Wah luckily I still know my directions to the Mall, if not Miko will say I always bring her to 'sight seeing' hahaha.

Mag made a reservation at Waraku Japanese restaurant located at 3rd floor of Central. Although I have been there with Jeff a couple of times, I still got a bit lost when I was there. Brought the girls round n round.... hahahaha but finally we got to Waraku on time. It was a cozy restaurant, so cozy to the extend that it becomes really noisy when it's full house! We were raising our voice talking to each other so as to be heard. If you want to go there, need to go early, as the Q starts to form after 7pm (applies to every restaurants there).

The food I ordered. It's cool, there was big piece of Katsu cutlet, potato salad, noodle n rice.... Yeah too much carbo, I didn't finish it but it's a bad habit of mine to see variety on my serving plate.

Miko and her Katsu curry don. It must be good as later she brought another set back for her prince.

Lyana busy taking photo of her soba, and she didn't realise I took this photo of her....

This little girl Jac, many facial expression.

On the right, appearing for the first time in my blog is Mag and on the left is Karen. They ordered Shabu shabu (did I get the spelling right?)

Photos of the food on our table-

There were plenty of choices on the menu, took us about 10 minutes to decide what to eat. After completing our meals, we were kinda being chased away by the staff, they kept dropping hints asking if we wanted to order deserts... 3 times within 15 minutes.

Karen, Miko and Mama to be Me. Miko now addresses me as Mama every time she sms me, hahaha then I will call her godma as she says she wants to be my baby's godma. Wei, godma's responsibility also quite big one hor, hahahaha! Anyone else want to be my baby's godmother?

Lyana and Jac.

After dinner we walked over to Clarke Quay for some light beverages at TCC, usually we should have alcohol.... but nowadays I am forbidden to all types of vice therefore can only go for healthier choice. Mag, Lyana and Karen.

Mama to be, Jac and godma to be.

One last group photo before the gathering adjourned. Although it was the 1st time meeting some of them, we clicked really fast and the topics we talked about was hilarious at some point of time. I shared my pregnancy experiences and pass them some knowledge so that they can get prepared themselves when the right time comes. Hope to see you girls soon, before my tummy gets really in the way.... ;)

Zi Lian photo of Miko n me.
